Good is a film of December 31st of 2008 , directed by Vicente Amorim and starring Viggo Mortensen , Jason Isaacs and Jodie Whittaker . It is based on the eponymous book of the writer Cecil Philip Taylor .
Argument
The film presents the story of John Halder (Viggo Mortensen), a literature professor who framed in the 1930s , refuses to accept the ideas of the Nazi Party . John leads an emotionally precarious life, with a mentally absent wife, an agonizing mother and a Jewish friend who shares his thoughts about the party. Suddenly, Halder is involved in different pressures that lead him to join the party, and be employed by him. Thus begins to ascend in his career, and the relationship with his best friend, who begins to be persecuted like all other Jews, is complicated.
